This lovely hotel in the heart of Christiansted was completely restored in 2007. It features hand-painted tropical friezes around the postage-stamp swimming pool, plus art and mementos strewn about the courtyard bar. The only drawback is that there's no view of the sea from most rooms. However, some rooms on the top (third) floor overlook the sands of Protestant Cay. An L-shaped three-story addition stands in the rear, with spacious but sterile rooms with air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Bathrooms are small. You can park in a public lot off King Street. The popular Italian/seafood restaurant Tutto Bene fronts the hotel.
