Opening onto panoramic views of the sea, this B&B lies on the north coast between Christiansted and Frederiksted. It's a hideaway, ideal for escapists who shun the resort hotels and want a closer encounter with St. Croix life. Each of the midsize to spacious accommodations is individually decorated and beautifully maintained, with such personal touches as fresh fruit or flowers. Your hosts, Fred Laue and Nancy Flanigan, live in the main house, which also offers a large bedroom with a queen-size bed. Below the main house are lovely suites with their own kitchen, plus a cottage with its own kitchen and sitting room as well as a loft. You can swim in a pool on the grounds or else take a 10-minute walk down to the beach. One of the best breakfasts on the island is offered in the main house, featuring such delights as fruity Finnish pancakes or a breakfast lasagna.
