This inn, restored in 2007, stands at water's edge, near Christiansted Harbor's yacht basin. We like the atmosphere of the Alley much better than its neighbor, the King Christian Hotel . Although short on amenities, this is one of our favorites in town. More charm. Better decor. More inviting ambience -- a real St. Croix feeling. The King's Alley is furnished with a distinctly Mediterranean flair. Many of its rooms -- which are small to medium-size -- overlook its courtyard terrace surrounded by tropical plants. All rooms have twin or king-size beds with good mattresses, and the deluxe units have four-poster mahogany beds.
