The first shining ray of light from Vail's New Dawn, a billion-dollar makeover/redevelopment of the base village, the Tivoli Lodge was rebuilt from scratch by the race car-driving Lazier family, who built the original Tivoli on the same spot in 1968. Gone are the small, dated rooms, replaced by large (many are almost 500 sq. ft.) guest quarters decorated with a masculine feel; the corner suite has a commanding view of Vail Mountain from its private balcony. The new lobby, with quartzite floors that sport fossils, features a bar and a breakfast area. Located immediately east of the center of Vail Village, the property offers a great location for skiers and plenty of elbow room for families and large groups.
