The Inn at False Creek went through a top-to-bottom refurbishment in 2007, making the rooms fresher and more contemporary. The upgraded decor, near-downtown (and Granville Island) location, and amenities make this a good choice for this price range, but street traffic is ever-present as the hotel sits next to the Granville Bridge on-ramp. Rooms are a good size, the tiled bathrooms have tubs and a shower, and the suites are great for families -- some have full kitchens and narrow, glassed-in balconies. Rooms at the back are preferable but the traffic noise is minimized in the front by double-pane windows and blackout curtains. The Inn has a nice outdoor pool and patio (open summer only).
