By far the classiest hotel I'm listing near the train station, the Bellini is convenient if you have an early train. Though mere steps away from the station, it's well insulated from the neighborhood's tourist bustle. Rooms are midsize to large, with high ceilings (some stuccoed), done in a rich 19th-century decor with modern amenities. Several on the front have views of the Grand Canal, some from small balconies. Junior suites on the canal side are great for families -- each comes with a loft with twin beds and its own bathroom and TV. Most "deluxe" rooms come with a view; those that do not are larger and nicer by way of compensation. Special offers can sometimes bring rates below even the lower prices listed below, depending on the time of year and availability.
