You pass through a covered bridge just off Route 100 to arrive at one of the most romantic B&Bs in northern New England, a regal barn and farmhouse on 235 sloping acres with views of fields all around. The centerpiece of the inn is the Round Barn, a beautiful 1910 structure that's used for weddings, art exhibits, and even Sunday church services. Each guest room is furnished in understated country elegance. The less expensive rooms, in the older part of the house, are comfortable if small; larger luxury units in the attached barn sport soaring ceilings beneath old log beams, and include such extras as steam showers, gas fireplaces, Jacuzzis, and in-room phones.
