Owned and operated by Stowe Mountain Resort, this is the resort's "official" hotel -- though not nearly as fancy as one would imagine it to be. A low-key spot, it's more like an upscale motel than like a fancy lodge, with clean, attractive rooms that are more spacious than average motel rooms. Inside you'll find veneer furniture, small refrigerators, and tiny balconies facing the pool or the woods. It's located near the base of the mountain, although not close enough to ski-in and ski-out to your room. Also ask about the 40 or so condos nearby, suitable for families.
