Set in a narrow wooded valley along a tumbling stream, this homey 1936 building (barn-red, in the shape of a ski chalet) was built as a residence and inn. The inn is eclectic in style, with everything from orange wall-to-wall carpeting to attractively rustic log furniture. There's a memorable, monolithic stone walkway outside and a steep staircase to the upper floors. The inn is a short trip from the mountain and across the road from the Rec Path, making it a good destination for bike-trippers; snowshoes can also be obtained upon request.
