This resort with the cutesy name is on Mountain Road en route to the mountain, less than 2 miles from the village; lately it has been playing catch-up with the more upscale Topnotch resort and spa , adding better amenities to its most expensive rooms. As a result, the newest guest rooms are now nicer than those at Topnotch -- they're regally decorated and have amenities such as two phones and wet bars. The resort has several categories of guest rooms in two wings; the "superior" rooms in the old wing are a bit cozy, okay for an overnight, but you're better off requesting "deluxe" level or better if you will be staying a few days. Many of these units have tubs with jets. The spa and fitness facilities are adequate, even if they lack the over-the-top elegance of Topnotch's (what, no waterfalls?); there's a decent-size fitness room with Cybex equipment, a squash/racquetball court, co-ed Jacuzzi, and a small indoor pool. Stoweflake also manages a small collection of fine town houses nearby. Facilities: 2 restaurants; indoor pool; outdoor pool; 2 tennis courts; racquetball/squash court; health club; spa; bike rental; children's center; game room; business center; salon; limited room service; in-room massage; babysitting; laundry service; dry cleaning.
