The Hilton Garden Inn is across the street from Metro's Blue Line McPherson Square station (and three stops from the Smithsonian museums station), within a short walk of the White House. Rooms are spacious with either king-size or double beds and are designed for comfort. Each room has a cushiony chair with an ottoman and a large desk with an ergonomic chair and adjustable lighting; a dial on the side of the mattress allows guests to adjust its firmness. Each room has a 32-inch, flatscreen LCD HDTV set, capable of connecting with a guest's personal laptop or iPod. The hotel's 24-hour pantry sells essentials; the 24-hour business center allows free use of computer, faxing, and copying services. All but 14th-floor guest rooms are smoke free. Each of the hotel's 20 suites holds a small pullout sofa in the living room. Facilities: Restaurant (American); bar w/fireplace; 24-hr. fitness center w/indoor pool; 24-hr. business center; limited room service; same-day laundry service; dry cleaning; on-site washer/dryer; 16 rooms for those w/limited mobility, 3 w/roll-in showers.
