This beautiful luxury hotel, in the best area of Collins Street, is a short walk from the major shopping and business district. The hotel has a glass-topped atrium that allows natural light to flood in and a great bar with wonderful city views on the 35th floor. Breakfasts in Café La are fabulous, and also come with views. Rooms are large and pleasant and were renovated in late 2004 and throughout 2005. They come with a flatscreen TV, the latest high-tech gizmos, and comfortable king-size beds. Prince Edward stayed here during the 2006 Commonwealth Games. An executive lounge opened in 2007. The service is as impressive as everything else.
