If I were coming to Scottsdale for a romantic getaway, I would stay here. Located adjacent to the upscale Borgata shopping center (which is designed to resemble Tuscany's San Gimignano), this casual yet luxurious boutique resort feels like an isolated hideaway and is designed to resemble a Spanish oasis. Set amid shady lawns, the Renaissance Scottsdale consists of spacious, comfortable casita-style rooms and suites that are done in a Southwestern style. More than 100 of the suites have their own private outdoor hot tubs (very romantic). Several excellent restaurants are within walking distance.
Facilities: 3 restaurants (Mediterranean, Spanish, American); lounge; 2 pools; putting green; 4 tennis courts; croquet court; access to nearby health club; 2 Jacuzzis; bike rentals; concierge; courtesy shopping shuttle; business center; room service; massage; babysitting; laundry service; dry cleaning.
