At this elegant inn, on the border of downtown and Shockoe Slip, a handsome redbrick facade opens into a seemingly Old World interior. Although established in 1988, the hotel creates the illusion that it was built long ago. A cozy ambience and attentive service prevail. A French country theme prevails in the luxuriously appointed guest quarters; some have whirlpool tubs. The Berkeley has one of Richmond's finest hotel dining rooms. Nightingale's Lounge adjoins.
