Slumdog Millionaire, Mumbai, India

Slumdog Millionaire tours are controversial, but Chris Way’s Reality Tours of Mumbai have vowed to pump more than 80% of the $10/per person ticket profits back into the neighborhoods being visited. The tour, called the Slumdog Millionaire Experience, hits many of the movie’s scenes, but also visits makeshift Hindu temples, mosques, not to mention residential areas, alley-hidden bakeries, and a visit to the Dhobi Ghat, the world’s largest open air laundries (pictured).
