The Hotel Gansevoort made a splash when it opened in New York City's Meatpacking District in 2004 with one of Manhattan's most talked about rooftop pools. With the debut of the Miami outpost in 2008, the South Beach pool scene ante was upped. Poured into the hotel's 18th floor, the pool dazzles with skyline-to-shore views of the city and South Beach. Stretching 110 feet, it looks like a liquid catwalk, with underwater music as a soundtrack. Even when A-listers aren't lounging poolside (Wyclef Jean, Sandra Bullock and Akon and his entourage were recently spotted), everything from the crowd to the cabanas—kitted out with flat-screen TVs—look photo-ready.
