A couple of blocks west of the Mag Mile, Cru draws both discriminating oenophiles and curious tourists with its welcoming interior; the velvet sofas and armchairs, Oriental rugs, and antique chandeliers make it feel like you've stepped into an elegant town house -- and the wine list of 400-plus bottles will convince you to stay awhile. Cru Café is especially cozy in the winter, when you can lounge in front of a roaring fireplace. The cafe serves lunch, dinner, and late-night menu of seafood, soups and salads, quiche, caviar, sandwiches, and desserts. A 40-seat alfresco seating area is available in warm weather.
