This irreverent young troupe offers the quintessential low-budget Chicago theater experience. The group specializes in original works written by the ensemble, many of which aim at a young, nontheatrical crowd (you're encouraged to bring your own beer and drink it during the late-night shows). The company's biggest hit was the raunchy trailer-park potboiler White Trash Wedding and a Funeral, and other recent productions (such as the Renaissance-Fair-inspired RenFair: A Fistful of Ducats) continue the irreverent fun. But the Factory also makes room for serious dramatic works written by members of its ensemble.
