Taking its name from the ubiquitous dye used in food products, Rednofive is no fake, thanks to its sleek design and tight lineup of local DJs spinning a sonic deluge of progressive and abstract house music, hip-hop, and pop, sometimes accompanied by a percussionist on drums. The glittering space -- with antique crystal chandeliers and red velvet banquettes -- attracts a well-dressed crowd; you probably won't make it past the doorman in shorts and sneakers. That said, the club prides itself on keeping the crowd diverse, so you don't have to be draped in the latest designer label to get inside. The bi-level space offers booth seating -- with an elevated VIP area -- but devoted dance fans will throw down just about anywhere.
