DJs are the stars at this multilevel, high-tech dance club, which prides itself on booking top international nightlife names. The look is industrial chic, with silver banquettes, frosted-glass walls, and stainless-steel accents; holographic images and laser lights flash across the massive central dance floor. The crowd tends to be young and club-savvy on weeknights, with a little more diversity on weekends. (Dress well if you want to make it past the bouncers.) While there's a fair amount of posing, overall this crowd comes for the music, which includes electronic dance, trance, and house. Saturday night resident DJ John Curley is a longtime local club fixture with an encyclopedic house repertoire; if you want a primer on Chicago house, this is a good place to start.
