A restaurant and bar overlook a particularly breathtaking stretch of the Bosphorus, sheltered by breezy stretches of sailcloth. When it opened in 1994, Sunset set a new standard for Istanbul nights, and as late as 2000, it was still the only game in town for sushi. The international menu takes advantage of the establishment's very own herb garden, and some would argue that Sunset still has the best sushi around. Take advantage of a rare vintage taken from probably the best wine cellar in Istanbul, or complement a glass of aged Bisquit cognac with a Cuban cigar. Open daily at noon until the last customer leaves. Kitchen closes at 11:30pm on Sunday through Thursday, and midnight Friday and Saturday.
