When asked for insider information on where the locals go, it is a rare response that includes an American-style brewery. But therein lies the paradox: They're certainly not going to the Turkish Night show in the Galata Tower. Taps dispenses seven or eight home-brews, along with a menu typical of this format (finger foods, pizza, salads, wraps, and pasta). The original outlet is in Nisantasi (Tesvikiye Cad., Atiye Sok. 5; tel. 0212/296-2020) but this is more central. Open daily 11:30am to 2am.
