It hums, it thrives, and it captures everyone's nocturnal imagination. No other nightspot in Munich attracts such an array of soccer stars, film celebrities, literary figures, and, as one employee put it, \"ordinary people, but only the most sympathetically crazy ones.\" Waves of patrons appear at different times of the evening: at 11pm, when live shows here begin; at 2am, when the restaurants close; and at 4am, when die-hard revelers seek a final drink in the predawn hours. There are no fewer than four indoor bars (and an additional three on an outdoor terrace in summertime) and lots of tiny tables. The decor is updated 1950s; the music, jazz, blues, and soul. Beer costs 4.70€ ($5.65), drinks run from 6.50€ ($7.80), and meals go for 8€ to 15€ ($9.60-$18). It's open daily from 9pm to 6am.
