On the ground floor of a commercial building, the Vermont is one of the relatively few GLS bars outside the Jardins. There's live music most nights -- MPB on Wednesdays, danceable pop Thursday though Saturdays. The boys predominate through the week and on Saturday, but Sundays the girls take over with a 9-woman samba band. The drink menu leans to sweet and fluffy cocktails. Open Monday to Thursday 6:30pm to 2am, Friday to Saturday 8pm to 4am, Sunday 4:30pm to midnight. Cover R$10 (US$5/£2.70) Friday from 8pm onward, Saturday R$15 (US$7.5/£4) from 8pm, Sunday from 4:30pm.
