If the Bund bars are starting to get a wee bit too pretentious (not to mention costly), head for this popular dive bar that recently celebrated its second anniversary, an accomplishment in Shanghai nightlife. ILS, as it is usually called, is all about showing patrons a good time without bleeding them dry, as evidenced in a consistently good crew of DJs and its reasonably priced drinks. 6pm to 2am.
