Washingtonians still marvel that this buzz-worthy bar/lounge that attracts the likes of Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn was once the domain of rowdy jocks and Georgetown students in its life as the sports bar Champions. You find it at the back of an alley off of Wisconsin Avenue, near M Street. Downstairs maintains a party atmosphere, where everyone drinks exotic martinis and ends up dancing on tabletops. Upstairs is a laid-back lounge, where you can spy on those below by looking through the glass-inlaid floor, or sit back and watch a film. Blue Gin's a swanky place, so dress accordingly.
