Gazuza
Actually, this second-story watering hole with its year-round deck overlooking Connecticut Avenue attracts straights as well as gays, couples as well as singles. Everyone wants to stand up there and survey the scene. The decor is upscale and industrial, but the glass-and-metal look is softened by candlelight and loungy sofas. D.C. doesn't offer lesbians an awful lot of club choices, but Gazuza's a good one. It's nearly right next door to the lesbian bookstore, Lambda Rising, so if you meet someone there first, you can treat her to a drink just a few steps away at Gazuza.
