In our search to find the best Parisian neighborhoods for every type of personality, we begin our tour with the artsy realm, Saint-Germain-des-Pres. Once home to an edgier art scene, it is today one of the best places to turn for some examples of the city's rich and timeless works. In Saint-Germain-des-Pres resides the most important art school in France, L'Ecole des Beaux-Arts, whose alumni include Eugene Delacroix and Claude Monet. Eugene Delacroix's murals decorate the inside of St. Sulplice Church, and many galleries line the rue de Seine and the Rue Jacob, where you can purchase your own sample of the city's artistic genius.
