Dating back to the colonial period, the Homestead is a luxury resort in Hot Springs, Va., in the Allegheny Mountains. Its KidsClub is open year-round and lets kids three to 12 do everything from custom-design t-shirts to make a model of the solar system. Other activities include pole-fishing at the children’s fish pond, falconry demonstrations and hand-led horseback rides.
