You might like the challenge of reaching this picturesque beach restaurant from SS 163 via the flight of 450 rugged steps. If not, a free shuttle service leaves Marina Grande every 30 minutes -- you'll recognize the boat by the red fish on its side (daily 10am-1pm and 4-7pm; later on Sat nights in July and Aug). The restaurant has a great laid-back atmosphere, and the menu includes many simple local dishes. The varied antipasti include zesty vegetables and seafood -- such as excellent polpette di melanzane (eggplant fritters), spaghetti con le cozze (spaghetti with sautéed mussels and tomatoes), and grigliata di pesce (medley of fresh grilled seafood). Da Adolfo also offers beach facilities with changing rooms, showers, and chair-and-umbrella rentals (8€/$11/£5.60 for both per day).
