Widely appreciated as one of Los Cabos' finest restaurants, Mi Cocina doesn't rely solely on the romance of its setting -- the food is superb, creative, and consistently flavorful. Notable starters include steamed baby clams topped with a creamy cilantro sauce and served with garlic croutons, or a healthy slice of Camembert cheese, fried and served with homemade toast and grapes. Among the favorite main courses are the baked baby rack of lamb served with grilled vegetables, and the Provencal-style shrimp served with risotto, roasted tomato, basil, and cilantro-fish consommé. Save room for dessert; choices include their famous chocolate-chocolate cake and a perfect crème brûlée. The full-service
palapa bar offers an excellent selection of wines, premium tequilas, and single-malt scotches. Be adventurous and try one of their special martinis -- like the Flor de México, an adaptation of the Cosmo, using Jamaica (hibiscus-flower infusion) rather than cranberry juice.
