This venue completely lacks glamour, but within its cheerful and unpretentious premises (it looks like the interior of a brightly painted Creole cottage), you can feed an entire family for less money than at virtually any other restaurant on Grand Cayman. The specialty here, and the only available main course, is tender, richly seasoned, perfectly cooked chicken. As many as 32 chickens at a time rotate enticingly in the glare of the island's biggest and most theatrical rotisserie, prominently positioned near the restaurant's entrance. Each chicken is flavored with herbs and garlic. You can opt to dine in the restaurant (which most people do at lunchtime), or haul your chicken away for consumption elsewhere (which most customers do later in the day). The chicken -- breast, thigh, or whole roasted birds, depending on your order -- is accompanied by corn bread and either coleslaw, rice, or beans. Try the scrumptious Caesar salad with jerk chicken. Again, don't expect romance or anything flashy -- this is a venue that's family-friendly, efficient, uncomplicated, and cheap.
