Casual and cool is what Riverside is all about. It is a tavern with riverside terrace views -- make sure you get there before the dinner rush, so you get your pick of tables. There's live music, from blues to soft rock, great Thai and Western food (including burgers), and a full bar. Even if you just stop by for a beer, it is a jovial place that always has a jolly crowd of travelers, locals, and expatriates. Riverside also operates a dining cruise at 8pm (boards at 7:15pm) for just 90B (US$2.60/£1.40) per person (drinks and dining a la carte). Call ahead.
