Mr. Goode cooks up some great barbecue at this rickety joint on Kirby, 4 blocks south of the Southwest Freeway. To get great smoked flavor, he cooks with the greenest wood he can find. Especially tasty are the pork ribs and the brisket, but you can also get duck, chicken, and links. Order by the pound, the plate, or the sandwich. For dessert, the pecan pie is a must. Beer signs and country music on the jukebox set the scene.
