Simple, even nondescript, a seat at the brasserie's sidewalk cafe has been the hot ticket in the neighborhood since it opened in 2003. The Mediterranean menu leans to Italian, with top-notch pastas executed in a way even an Italian would approve of (and they do; a couple of expats were next to me last time I ate here). The salad Niçoise or carpaccio of bonfile and mozzarella served with olive pesto are examples of some of the lighter choices, while the menu even offers half portions (thankfully, given the high prices).
