This noodle shop has been serving its own handmade noodles for a mere 100-some years. A small place with a modern yet traditional interior and an English-language menu, it offers various noodle dishes of either soba (buckwheat) or udon (a thicker, wheat noodle) with such toppings as tempura, as well as donburi (a rice casserole with tempura, yakitori, or other topping) and nabe (udon boiled in broth with seafood, chicken, and vegetables). Those with insatiable appetites should have it all with the Okimori set meal for ¥5,500 ($46/£23), which comes with nabe, tempura, barbecue chicken, and noodles.
