If you're hanging with Beyoncé or Scarlett Johansson, you might take either of them to this kitschy but chic rendezvous for whimsical cocktails and sophisticated, well-crafted French food. One patron called the decor a "psychedelic Christmas show," but the food, prepared with market-fresh ingredients, is first rate, including such starters as a homemade terrine with pickled red cabbage or a salad of chicory and bitter greens in a Roquefort dressing. Exceptional products and a finely honed technique are evident in such mains as rainbow trout on braised fennel or seared duck breast with lentils and an orange jus. For dessert, few items top the dark chocolate parfait with white chocolate cream. The location is on the fringe of Soho.
