Of the four restaurants housed in Butler's Wharf, this one is the closest to Tower Bridge. The Chop House was modeled after a large boathouse, lots of exposed wood, flowers, candles, and windows overlooking Tower Bridge and the Thames. Lunchtime crowds include workers from the city's financial district; evening crowds are made up of friends dining together leisurely. Dishes are largely adaptations of English recipes such as fish and chips with mushy peas or steak-and-kidney pudding with oysters, even roast pork loin with applesauce. The bar features several English wines, plus a half-dozen French clarets by the jug.
