It's well worth squeezing in to sample the hearty bargain fare at this a small and friendly watering (and eating) hole in the generally pricey Cava Baja. As in any Castilian locale worth its salt, the specialties here range from a full-bodied cocido to a variety of roasts, especially lamb. Other prime raciones to enjoy include croquetas (croquettes), albóndigas (meatballs), and champiñones al cabrales (mushrooms cooked with strong blue Asturian cheese). The comprehensive wine list covers Riojas, Ribera del Dueros, and Albariños by the glass or bottle.
