Tucked inside the intimate boutique hotel The Madison is this chic, dimly lit, fine-dining restaurant and lounge. It is a dark, narrow room with vintage black-and-white photographs on the walls and well-dressed diners enjoying brandies and ports after multi-course gourmet meals. Open for breakfast and lunch, Grill 83 shines at dinner. Exquisitely prepared steaks (the signature is a 16-oz. Kansas City bone-in filet) and succulent seared sea bass are served with artful garnishes and such sides as grilled asparagus with lemon butter. Service is polished and professional.
