This Belgian pub has two claims to fame: The beer -- 18 artisan-made brews on tap, plus dozens more by the bottle -- and the mussels -- generous bowls of dark-shelled mollusks dressed in five sauces, from spicy Thai to classic white-wine-and-garlic. Popular with beer-perts and the Wharton students that imitate them, this narrow, no-nonsense spot also serves for satisfying burgers, fries with bourbon mayonnaise, and hearty salads. The kitchen is open until 1am. A word to the sports addicted: Monk's has no TVs.
