Whoever christened this place was having a little joke: Its name means both "April Fool" and "April Fish." Nevertheless, nautical trappings of the three rooms that include model ships, marine prints, and mounted sailfish make the real intent clear. The menu is packed with seafood, including some combinations of costly crustaceans responsible for the stiffer prices noted below. The crowded Provençal bouillabaisse has calamari, scallops, shrimp, mussels, and rouille, while a special platter called
L'assiette du commodore is laden with snow crabs, half a lobster, and the fish of the day. Mixed grill and pastas are also available. In good weather, there's a covered dining terrace. With the restaurant located almost directly next to Espace 400e, the new exhibition pavilion opening in June 2008, this will be a crowded location, so make reservations for weekend meals.
