Seafood lovers will find their mecca at the Azul Profundo, or "Deep Blue." The menu is divided into four regions: fish and shellfish from south, central, and northern Chile, as well as fresh yellowfin tuna and vidriola fish from Easter Island, served grilled, or
a la plancha (sizzling on a cast-iron plate). Add just a squeeze of lemon or choose one of five sauces. If there are two of you, you might opt for a shared dish like
curanto, the surf-and-turf stew from Chiloé, or a "Tabla Marina," with a selection of shellfish and salmon served with grilled vegetables. Everything on the menu is appealing; therefore, decisions are not easily made, so try getting started with an appetizer of one of eight different kinds of ceviche, or the crowd-pleaser razor clams Parmesan. A cozy, nautical-themed complete with fish nets, a wooden siren hanging from a mock ship's bow, and bathroom doors that look like they lead to a sailor's bunk lend a sense of fun to the restaurant, and kids get a kick out of it, too.
