The Quinta do Museu is housed in the Museu Casa Brasileira's kitchen; seating is in the old dining room or, better yet, on the back patio under the shade of a spreading rubber tree overlooking the garden. The kitchen prepares a good selection of light lunches including grilled salmon, pastas, salads, and sandwiches. There's a large lawn where kids can run around while adults enjoy their lunch in peace. The garden is also a lovely spot for just a coffee and dessert. From Tuesday to Saturday, the restaurant serves a full afternoon tea (3:30-6pm). The hearty spread includes tea and fruit juice accompanied by a selection of sandwiches, quiches, cake, brownies, and other goodies (R$35/US$18/£9.50 per person).
