This branch of a small chain in Shanghai is intimate and stylish, and offers some of the most reliable and straightforward Japanese food in town. A simple Japanese decor prevails (including private tatami mat rooms and a small sushi bar), and the service is friendly and helpful. The menu bulges with all the Japanese staples you'd expect, like noodles, tempura, and more. Sushi and sashimi selections are fresh, abundant, and popular, with more exotic and expensive choices like sea bream and lobster sashimi also available. Lunch specials and dinner sets are also popular with the largely Japanese clientele.
