Frommer's Very Highly Recommended

This popular Thai restaurant is located on the second floor of a beautiful colonial mansion (the "Face" building) on the north end of the Ruijin Hotel estate. Carved Thai wall panels hang on blue walls and the tables overlook the estate and courtyard below. The clientele is mostly foreign, but the chef is most assuredly from Thailand, as are many of the fresh ingredients. The prawn cake, satays, and papaya salad are superb, as are the soft-shell crabs. Service is discreet and gracious, making this an ideal spot for a relaxing lunch or fine candlelit dinner.
