Mr. Pickwick's is a pub and restaurant that's part of Ye Old English Inne. It could justly be accused of being a theme-park restaurant, with the theme being "ye olde Englande" -- but it's slowly changing. Run since 1983 with creative gusto by British ex-pats Chris and Lyn Francis, it's hard not to enjoy yourself here; begin by admiring the Anglo decor while relaxing at handsome wood tables in the booths (dubbed "pews"). Sample from among some 150 beers (many of them British) before ordering longtime lunch specialties such as a ploughman's lunch or fish and chips. Dinner still offers the fish and chips, but has become something more upscale than it used to be: Korean-spiced hanger steak, roasted duck breast with figs, veal loin chops, and the like now make appearances.
