Some of the mostly European clothing here costs less than the equivalent within the U.S., partly because of the duty-free status of natural fibers such as cashmere, silk, linen, and wool in the Cayman Islands. You may find some flamboyant items, such as slinky, scarlet women's evening dresses, complementing merchandise that is for the most part restrained, subdued, and in very good taste.
